Our Artisan Roots: The History of Amaze Items
Amaze Items was officially launched on September 8, 2023, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Our founders set out with a clear objective: to challenge the industry standard that premium, handcrafted leather goods must come with a long production lead time. We recognized that our customers value both the unique character of artisanal craftsmanship and the convenience of modern logistics.
To achieve this, we established a fulfillment-ready facility where every item in our signature collections—Animals & Characters, Everyday Essentials, Shapes & Nature, and Sweet Treats—is crafted and fully stocked before it ever appears on our website. This "ready-to-ship" philosophy allows us to dispatch orders with a speed that few handcrafted businesses can match. As of April 2026, we remain a proud Maryland-based business, dedicated to serving the contiguous United States with integrity, speed, and artisan quality.
Secure Shopping and Data Integrity
Your security is integrated into every transaction. The Amaze Items website is protected by a high-level SSL certificate, guaranteeing that your personal, shipping, and payment information is securely encrypted. This protection ensures your data remains safe from hackers, allowing you to focus on choosing the perfect leather piece for your collection.
1. Shipping Costs
We strive for total transparency in our pricing.
- Free Standard Shipping: We are pleased to offer Free Standard Shipping on all orders within our designated service area.
- No Hidden Fees: There are no handling charges or hidden surcharges added at checkout. The price you see for your item is the price you pay for delivery.
2. Service Area and Geographic Restrictions
To maintain our high standards for delivery speed and service quality, we operate within specific geographic parameters:
- Service Area: We ship exclusively to the Contiguous United States (the lower 48 states and the District of Columbia).
- Restricted Addresses: At this time, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. Boxes, Military Bases (APO/FPO/DPO), or U.S. Territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
- Note: Any orders placed with a shipping address located outside of our service area or directed to a restricted address type will be canceled and refunded in full automatically.
3. Order Processing (Handling Time)
Since our items are fully stocked, we can begin the fulfillment process immediately.
- Order Cut-off Time: 5:00 PM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Standard Time (New York).
- Handling Time: 1–2 Business Days (Monday – Friday).
- Orders placed before 5:00 PM will begin processing the same or the following business day. Orders placed over the weekend or on holidays will be processed on the next available business day.
4. Transit and Delivery Times
We partner with reliable carriers to ensure your handcrafted goods arrive safely.
- Transit Time: 3–5 Business Days (Monday – Friday) via USPS or UPS.
- Total Estimated Delivery Time: 4–7 Business Days.
5. Sales Tax
As a Maryland-based business, a 6% sales tax is applied to all orders shipped to addresses within the state of Maryland. This tax is calculated automatically and clearly displayed during the checkout process.
6. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
Transparency continues after you click "purchase." As soon as your order is packaged and dispatched from our facility, you will receive a confirmation email containing a unique tracking number. You can use this number to monitor your package's journey from our Maryland facility directly to your door.
